local wireless networks are not a simple extension of the Internet
The Susper founders are active within the open wireless community for many years. We have build up close relationships to many developers and constantly work together with them to improve OpenWRT, mesh protocols and the Susper Embedded firmware. Using and working inside local wireless networks we realized long ago that local networks are not simply an extension of the Internet. They are as different as TV in contrast to cinema or a CD in contrast to radio.
Who thought of Web 2.0 services on the Internet fifteen years ago? As many creative people are using the Internet, they constantly come up with new ideas. In the result they invented services like Google, Flickr, Technorati, Wordpress, Facebook, MySpace and many others.
Who thinks of services for local networks today? The biggest mesh networks in Europe run with 600 constantly connected nodes (for example in Berlin and Leipzig). Many tests have been conducted and many artistic and technological projects have been realized inside these mesh networks. The Susper founders have centrally participated in these projects. We have gathered the most creative people now and work together with them today on new ideas for tomorrow´s products.
